Her complex musical experience stems from a multitude of national and international performances, including various music festivals in Romania, Germany, Austria, Hungary, London and Bratislava. It all started back in ‘94, when her mother Ingeborg Acker formed 'Canzonetta', a vocal-instrumental group, which to this day remains extremely active. This environment provided artistic growth and expression, through the exposure and appreciation of a wide range of world music genres. Over time, Petra collaborated with and co-founded multiple bands (The Others, Tep Zepi, Chilli Familli, Tzuc & Petzi). Equally honored and inspired by some of the major names in the branch, Petra teamed up with Michael Acker, Albert Tajti, Luiza Zan (RO), Joel Holmes (NYC), Thomas Siffling Trio (Mannheim, GER), Elly Wright (Vienna/NYC), Victor Toth (HU), Roger Treece (USA, co-producer of Bobby McFerrin), Steven Reich (GER), Jimmy Madison (NYC) and many more. In 2016, Petra reached New York City, to record a jazz album with Steven Reich (Berlin), Jimmy Madison (NYC) and Dmitri Kolesnik (RUS/NYC). The CD features music written by Billy Taylor, a composer renowned for his track ‘I wish I knew how it would feel to be free’, interpreted by Nina Simone. With most songs having never been played before, this album was released in april of 2018. Petra’s style is defined by her profound voice, her spontaneity and the experience of a long journey through various kinds of music and tonalities – ranging from classical soprano pieces, to the lowest vocal registers typical of gospel, garage rock, funk, stoner rock, jazz, soul, R&B, electro or folklore & blues. Her own compositions are reflections of the journey, blending the colorful world of music with her own personal touch. The Band​ comes up with the right groove and orchestration, creating the perfect vibe to dance and sing along. Michael Acker (bass) is one of the most active musicians in the romanian jazz and soul scene, his lines and balance are outstanding and so is the number of musicians and bands he played with in national and international collaborations. Albert Tajti (keys) studied music since he was very young, he brings the most harmonious, interesting sounds to any context he finds himself in. He plays with Michael since many years, meanwhile they developed their very own musical language, able to express a large repertoire of emotions, colours and states of being. Radu Pieloiu recently joined the band as the second drummer (besides Gabi Matei), his large experience and love for all kinds of musical styles along many years of being on stage with artists like ‘Alexandrina’, ‘Helen’ and many more, allows him to be always ready to join the group with ease. The Band is featured at this point by Vladimir Coman-Popescu as the producer and manager of the recently launched label ‘Uninvited Artists’ RO Petra Acker & the Band ​invită la o călătorie muzicală ce surprinde prin simplitatea și în același timp profunzimea compozițiilor proprii, precum și prin interpretarea foarte personală a unor piese din repertoriul internațional, toate pe ritmuri și armonii de Nu-Soul, Afro, R’n’B, Gospel, Hip-Hop, Jazz și Funk. De-al lungul anilor, muzică lor s-a dezvoltat în multe direcții-Petra și Michael Acker au experimentat și s-au exprimat prin Jazz, Soul, R’n’B și chiar House sau Downbeat, cântată în cele mai diverse formule, împreună cu muzicieni autohtoni și internaționali, pe scene din țara și străinătate. Albert Tajti, un pianist de seamă al scenei de jazz și nu-soul românești, completează formulă cu armonii și ritmuri mereu inspirate și contribuie în mod definitoriu la compozițiile grupului. Cântă de la vârstă de 7 ani, a studiat instrumentul la Universitatea de Muzică din Cluj și este între timp unul din cei mai implicați muzicieni din jazz-ul autohton. Radu Pieloiu (tobe) s-a născut în anul 1987, în Timișoara, Radu și-a început studiile muzicale la vârstă de 6 ani, la Colegiul Național de Artă “Ion Vidu”, studiind pianul și mai apoi percuția. Este absolvent al Facultătii de Muzică din Timișoara. A concertat alături de mulți muzicieni români și nu numai, în numeroase proiecte muzicale foarte diferite stilistic, concertând în multe festivaluri atât în tară precum și în Europa. Din punct de vedere muzical, Radu introduce și combină elemente și influențe dobândite de-a lungul anilor din jazz, funk, reggae, latin, rock și dnb, într-un stil fluent, dinamic și prezent în orice situație muzicală, fiind implicat momentan în numeroase proiecte muzicale. Vladimir Coman-Popescu (Producer / ‘Uninvited Artists’) produce muzica trupei într-un fel unic, păstrând și transformând soundul într-o experiență aparte.
