Cerbului, nr. 19, Satu Mare /RO/ Încă în 2007, sZempöl s-a format spontan, când câţiva prieteni au început să cânte din joacă împreună. Mulţumită pasiunii şi devotamentului lor, curând s-au găsit jucându-se în diferite oraşe şi festivaluri, ca de exemplu: Sziget Festival (HU), Bucureşti (RO), Budapesta (HU), München (DE), Festivalul Peninsula (RO) şi multe altele. În 2014 trupa a plecat în turneu în Ungaria şi Elveţia cu membri noi şi un sunet redefinit. Au apărut la toate marile festivaluri de artă şi teatru din Ardeal. Atingând configurarea actuală, la sZempöl Offchestra s-au alăturat doi VJ şi un turntablist, care folosesc vizuale vii şi mapping pentru a crea o experienţă audio-vizuală cu adevarat unică. Scopul principal al muzicii formaţiei sZempöl este de a crea un flux de energie liberă şi conducerea publicului prin diferite stări: ei nu consideră muzica un mediu independent şi ignoră toate convenţiile formale şi tehnice. Cele mai importante elemente în muzica lor sunt teatralitatea şi jocul. "Ocupaţia" membrilor (teatru, film) este responsabilă pentru prezenţa lor scenică, şi în ceea ce priveşte muzica, ei pot vedea dincolo de tradiţie şi convenţiile de zi cu zi. Toate melodiile lor sună diferit. Conţinutul formează o încadrare puternică în timpul unui concert, în timp ce ei se deplasează liber printre diferite genuri, inclusiv jazz, balkan, techno, breakbeat sau drum ‘n’ bass condimentat cu câteva sample-uri. Combinând instrumente electronice şi acustice, ei se numesc o trupă teatro- disco-balcanică. Oricum, ideea e că te fac să dansezi cât ai clipi. Nimic şi totul trebuie luat în serios în timpul unui concert. /HU/ A sZempöl zenéjében a hangulatok és az energiák szabadon áramlása a fő cél: a zenét nem önálló médiumként kezelik, nem a technikai és a megszokott formai megoldásokon van a hangsúly. Zenéjük egyik fő eleme a teatralitás, a játékosság. Nincs két egyforma hangzás, szabadon mászkálnák a stílusok között, de összeköti őket a zene mögötti tartalom. Pillanatok alatt képesek táncra perdíteni a legmakacsabb közönséget is, koncertjeiken mindig létrejön egy olyan örömállapot, mely összekapcsolja az embereket, s egy felejthetetlen közösségi élményt nyújt. A csapatban két vj is helyet kapott, akik élő vetítéseket illetve mappinget használnak, ezáltal egy olyan audio-vizuális eseménnyé alakítva a koncerteket, mely egyedülállónak mondható Erdélyben. Zenei világuk elektronikai alapokra épülő őrületet kever - és tényleg releváns mindeZt felsorolni - jaZZel, balkánnal, breakbeattel, drumandbassel és egy-két sZempöllel. Egyedi műfaj meghatározásuk a balkan-teatro-disco. Mottójuk: "Semmit sem és mindent komolyan kell venni koncertjeiken”. /EN/ Hailing back to 2007, sZempöl was formed spontaneously, when a few friends started to play music together. Thanks to their passion and devotion, soon they found themselves playing in different cities and festivals, including Sziget Festival (HU), Bucharest (RO) Budapest (HU), München (DE), Peninsula Festival (RO), just to name a few. In 2014 the band was touring in Hungary and Switzerland with new members and a redefined sound. They performed at all major arts and theatre festivals in Transylvania. Reaching its current setup, sZempöl Offchestra was joined by a turntablist and two VJs, who use live visuals and mapping to create a truly unique audio-visual experience. The main purpose of the sZempöl (pronounced sample) band’s music is to create free energy flow and to lead the audience through different moods: they don’t consider music as an independent medium, and they ignore all formal and technical conventions. The most important element in their music is theatrality and playfulness. The „occupation” of the band’s members (theatre, film) is responsible for their stage presence, and for the fact that in terms of music, they think beyond tradition and everyday conventions. Their tracks all sound different. The content forms a strong bounding during a concert, while they move freely between different genres including jazz, balkan, techno, breakbeat or drum ‘n’ bass spiced with some samples. Combining electronic and acoustic instruments, they call themselves a balkan-teatro-disco band. Anyway, the point is: they make you dance in the glimpse of an eye.
