RETEK is a newly formed independent crafting colony.
Our aim is to found an annual international platform for creative individuals, makers and diverse multidisciplinary communities. We would like to explore the intersections of craft, spatial design and performative art through organizing a summer event for collective making and community building.
RETEK's summer event is going to take place in August in a form of a one-week long workshop series in Botiz, near Satu Mare, close to the Hungarian – Romanian border. The colony will occupy an abandoned industrial furniture factory and transform it into a unique stage for art, architecture, design and performance reflecting on the recent theme, ShapeSHIFT.
At RETEK we encourage the participation of makers, designers, artists, architects, landscape architects, theater performers, musicians internationally.
For the summer event the team is on a lookout for creative motivated people, who can make an original and interesting contribution to crafting camp. We are searching for experimental vivid minds, who would like to be part of our colony.
